July 26 - Day 81 - Point de la Croix 101 km

Seeing the hills from the other side

In the far distance is New Brunswick 😀

This was my view as I headed out of the campground….debating if I should take the time to go down and see the water

This was the view at the end of the campground road!!!!  The walls are red….very red.  Such a contrast with the green trees on the top and the dark blue water.

The other side….the rock is just as red…but with the shadows of the bright sun, it looks muted.

A little waterfall.  This shows the redness of the rock a bit better
These are the enhanced photos…show the redness of the rock a bit better

Photos aren’t loading tonight as the service here isn’t great….I’ll do it tomorrow….check back as they are really spectacular….I know I say that every day…but its especially true today 😀😀😀

My last day in Québec….and I had fabulous views.  I felt tired after yesterday’s long ride, and the headwind didn’t help….but what I really needed was more food.  Once I ate a cheeseburger my energy came back and I was able to finish the ride.

This morning I almost made a mistake…the mistake of not looking around.  I got to the campground late, and it was dark by the time I had everything done.  This morning as I was heading out I noticed the water….it wasn’t a great view, but figured I should go investigate….well what I saw was amazing!!!  Just when I thought I had seen ….well everything, I was shown a completely different view.  Talk red walls with green on top, and the blue Baie de Chaleurs.  Spectacular.

The riding was ok today…one of the towns is celebrating 150 years….so tents and balloons etc!  Fun.  I didn’t have a lot of views of the water today….so that makes this morning’s view so much better!

Tomorrow New Brunswick….and I think it will only be about 3 maybe 4 days before I’m on PEI.  It’s going fast!!!!  Thanks everyone for the encouraging texts this morning!  That made my day….and all the ones in French 😀. Those were special!!

Hey I can do John Chrétien french. “Allo, Ow R U!!!” Good to see that you cant run on empty forever. How does that go? You eat to exercise not exercise to eat I think. Yesterday was a big day and with a freaking head wind too. Your legs must be like steel posts by now. Keep a chugging along. Whoosh whoosh chugg.
