Lunch spot
I did it….the big hill wasn’t too bad. I was slow, but made it to the top! So 71 km with 1134 meters of elevation gain today! The day started off cool and cloudy, then hot and sunny for a while, then had about an hour of rain. The rain stopped and I was almost dry when I arrived in midway. I’m at a fairly basic campground, but there’s a hot shower and it’s only $10 to tent for the night. I’m at 923 km total for the 11 days.
I’m heading to bed. Tomorrow is a shorter day….less elevation gain, so I should get into Christina Lake a bit earlier.

Had no doubt in our minds that you would kill it today. Was cool to watch your progress up the climb today and the downhill should have been a hoot after all that work. Sleep well. Hot showers, pretty luxurious.
I recall your concern about that monster hill! Not surprised you were still smiling at the top looking back! Impressive!
