May 12-Day 6. Agassiz!!! 95 km/568.3 km total
Wow….I’m amazed at that number! Today was another fantastic day…and once again I could have continued on, but I have a place to stay in Agassiz, and it was getting late. Karen was passing by so we had a visit just outside of Mission, she brought some beef jerky from where she works in St Albert d’Arcy I think, and two bags of skittles that she was going to hide on my bike but had to give them to me as she couldn’t find anyplace!!!! I think I’ve taken in enough calories today….a bit of left over souvlaki, breakfast bagel from Tim’s- thanks for the cards, a delish drink from Starbucks that was over 1000 calories, then a sushi dinner in Agassiz.
Now I’m set up in the backyard of a friend’s brother….check out the view!!! The training is over….mountains tomorrow. I’ve booked a spot at Sunshine Valley, about 40 km from Hope and 600m climb. A shorter day, but I’ll see how the legs are with that climb.

Wow Lucille! You had another great day! Ron and I are watching your little blue dot zoom over those roads. When we saw you stop this afternoon, Ron was curious why you weren't moving. I noted that you were stopped at a sushi place and that would be a good meal to load up on carbs and protein. He said, why would anyone want to do that by eating sushi? He is not a sushi lover so just can't understand the appeal!
Hope you can rest well and have a good ride tomorrow.
Love and hugs.
I would have to say that “retirement” is going well. So glad you made it to Barry and Lynn’s. Up up up and away.
What a view!!!! You are a machine my friend.❤️
