Oct 4 - Mont Tremblant 49 km

Many of the photos have been enhanced to show their true colours….just as I saw them.  Touch up done my my good friend Mike😀😀
I managed a selfie after several tries.  The phone kept falling down.

Cycling path

There’s actually a construction yard behind the rock with lots of debris….!!!

The little river I followed out of town this morning, and for some distance today

This is a golf course with geese on the green!

The farmers market this morning

Breakfast was raclette.  That’s a half round of special cheese placed under a heater, left there until it’s slightly charred, then it’s scraped into a toasted croissant with ham.  So yummy….as only cooked/melted cheese can be.

Soaps for sale at the farmers market.  Too beautiful to use, plus I didn’t think that the delicate flowers would survive 2 weeks of jostling.

Ok, so only 50 km today…..but I just kept stopping to take photos that it was almost a full day.  I thought that Mont Tremblant would be a nice spot to stop and explore the village, but I didn’t take into consideration that it’s Saturday on likely the last spectacular weekend of the year….i think that everyone is in the area looking at the leaves and soaking in the warm sunshine.  Apparently the forecast for next week is snow!  Hardly likely with my good weather charm, but I don’t want to push my luck!!!!  😇

I haven’t changed my watch yet, so when I woke up at my usual 0430, I couldn’t understand why it was light out….well, that’s because it’s 0630 here 🤣🤣

I lounged in the sleeping bag for about an hour, waiting for it to warm up a bit.  It’s not super cold but nicer to get up a bit later.  I packed everything up and headed out to find some breakfast.  I found a restaurant called le petit poucette….and it was full….including the waiting area which had a wood burning stove with chairs around it for those who were waiting.  I decided not to wait the 55 min to get seated.  Instead I headed into town and found a farmers market!  Perfect….I wandered around, found some me breakfast and a nice seat outdoors!

I stopped so many times for photos….the trees just keep getting better and better.  I think that tomorrow I’ll keep going along the same path of le p’tit train du nord to Mont Laurier, about 95 km from here.  After that I’ll head back towards Montreal and pick up the same route to Québec.  I think I’ll have time to return to Montréal then head south east before returning home.  A short but spectacular trip!  Thanks for following along….abd thanks for the texts and messages on the live tracking   😀😀😀

Ok. Now we will find if the good weather charm actually works. Beautiful pictures and sounds like an interesting area to explore. I am sure you are enjoying using your French again. Keep cranking.
